Meet Autumn DiScala...

Your NEW Mentor (and best friend!)

Welcome to my blog! I’m so happy you stopped by. Grab a coffee, get comfy, and let’s dive in!

How did I get here? How did I end up becoming a life coach for postpartum women? Well, let me tell you—this journey started far earlier than I ever realized, much further back in life than you might think…

Autumn DiScala, Mdiv. - circa. 2024

A Grungy Beginning of In-Betweens

My life has always felt a bit chaotic, with constantly moving, being between homes, and not knowing how to process and express emotion properly till I was in college. But, throughout the midst of all the chaos, I found the Lord, and learned what it meant to truly rely on Him in every circumstance. Becoming a Christian at 13, I was blessed with the chance to establish a firm foundation in my faith as a teenager. From that time on, I learned what it meant to give my life to Him and trust Him to carry me in all the seasons of life where I wrestled with letting go of control, where I didn’t know what I really wanted or who I wanted to be, and so much more. I learn to have faith, to trust, and to have grace for myself and others.

Health? Nutrition? Muscle Testing? Life Coaching? Postpartum?

My career path has taken many twists and turns over the years. I grew up immersed in the world of holistic health—surrounded by tinctures, supplements, and homeopathic remedies (and with a severe lack of trust in the medical field). As a third-generation muscle testing practitioner, I was raised with a deep trust in the body’s innate ability to heal itself, a belief reinforced by my faith and the power of prayer (thanks to my time ministry!).

Health and nutrition have always been important to me—establishing a strong foundation to prevent illness whenever possible. But just as much, I’ve long cared about the spiritual well-being of those I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside. I've had the privilege to be a part of a few different church communities, both in the States and beyond, where I have been able to learn the complexitiy of community, spirituality, and the love that God shows us that we in turn show others. I have grown only more and more over the years in my passion for the local church, but more specifically in my belief that the local church isn't just in a church building - it's in a neighborhood, an office space, and your home.

With a bachelor’s degree in ~essentially~ both Theology and Biology, plus a Master of Divinity, my passion is caring for the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Because true wellness isn’t just physical; it’s deeply connected to our emotional, mental, and spiritual health as well.

What About Now? What About Today?

Sorry for the Daughtry reference (lol).

Looking back over the past year, it’s mind-blowing to see how much has changed. I went from my first attempt at a life coaching business — one that felt stretched too thin and had to fall apart to make space for something better — to an unexpected job in a world I never thought I’d be in (fun fact: I was a ballroom dance instructor!). And now, I’ve found myself back in the holistic health field, working as the office manager at Grassroots Health and Wellness, surrounded every day by prenatal and postpartum women.

Reconnecting with this world has reignited my passion for the entire birth cycle — from fertility to postpartum — in a deeper, more intentional way. With fresh vision and renewed excitement, I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me — and you, too!

Thanks for reading the first of many fun blog posts!
